The Birth of the Lazzaroni Confectionery Tradition
In 1927, the two Lazzaroni family businesses merged into a single entity, focusing on biscuit production and keeping alive the tradition of Amaretto Lazzaroni 1851, known as the "liquid biscuit". Since then, the company's confectionery sector has grown rapidly, establishing itself worldwide for the excellence and high quality of its products.
Between the tradition of liquor making and the rebirth of confectionery
In 1984, after selling the biscuit division to an American multinational corporation, Paolo Lazzaroni retained Paolo Lazzaroni & Figli, focusing on the production of liqueurs and confectionery specialties. Among these, he continued to promote Amaretto Lazzaroni 1851 as the company's flagship product and relaunched the Chiostro di Saronno confectionery brand. In the early 1990s, he built the current plant in Saronno, marking a new phase of growth and consolidation.

Today, the company is led by Paolo and Luca Lazzaroni, the seventh and eighth generations of a family that has always operated in the high-quality Italian food sector, carrying on an entrepreneurial tradition built on passion, excellence, and continuity.
